Personal Delivery

We have our own vans and offer a personal delivery service - your bike will be delivered by Jon (co-owner of Delta Bikes and Cytech qualified). If you cannot visit the store, it's the next best way to get your new bike!

Benefits of using our Personal Delivery service:

- The bike will be fully built - zero assembly required by you
- NO rubbish or packaging to dispose of or recycle
- We will be able to make any adjustments required
- Full, unrushed, proper handover that you just won't get elsewhere.

Personal delivery is available for £100, or FREE OF CHARGE for bikes (or orders containing multiple bikes) of £2500 and over.

We currently offer Personal Delivery anywhere 75 miles from GL114NA (verified by Google Maps). If you are further away, please contact us before ordering and we will see what we can do. (Please be aware that we only deliver to the home address that matches the registered address of your payment method. Sorry but we cannot deliver to your place of work or random locations. Please also make sure that you have time to go through a proper unrushed bicycle handover.) Upon ordering we contact you as soon as possible to arrange a mutually convenient delivery time (usually in a quicker time frame than by regular courier too!).

Dispatch Times

  • In-stock parts & accessories orders placed before 2.00pm on weekdays will be dispatched the same day. Orders placed on Saturday and Sunday will be dispatched on Monday.

  • Bikes require a build and PDI (pre-delivery inspection) before dispatch. This typically takes 2-3 working days, at which point the bike is then dispatched. IMPORTANT - The delivery time is in ADDITION to the PDI time. If you require a bike quickly, please make use of our click and collect option.

  • We will call you shortly after ordering your bike to discuss important details such as the addition of frame protection, pedal requirements, tubeless set-up and a good dispatch day.

  • You may wish to give us a quick phone call before ordering a Special Order item so we can confirm availability and lead time with our suppliers.

FAQ - BIKES

What happens when I place a bike order? - Once we are able to start processing your order, we will call you to verify a few things to help us get the bike set-up. This may include your weight to set up the suspension, if you want the bars trimmed down, any particular set-up requirements you have (such as tubeless etc). We also check if you have a preferred delivery date (shipping dates can be delayed as required). If you want any accessories, or frame protection such as Invisiframe or RideWrap this can be added after your order and payment can be made by payment link, PayPal or BACS.

How will my bike be delivered?
- We build (full PDI check) each bike prior to dispatch to verify the manufacturer's assembly. The bike is then re-boxed for shipment. It is often required that the handlebars, and front wheel are removed. We include a walkthrough to get your bike ready, but please be aware that basic tools and assembly competence are required. If you are unsure please make use of our personal delivery option, click and collect, or you may wish to use a qualified mechanic, or we would recommend that you visit a local bike shop and do not purchase online.

Will my bike come with pedals? - We try to state on each bike's tech specification if it comes with pedals or not. If it is not stated, please assume that it probably doesn't (contact us for clarification). As a general rule, most bikes above £1000 will NOT come with them, as pedals are a personal choice and it is considered a waste to include if they are unlikely to get used.

Does my bike come with tools? - No, tools are not supplied as standard.

What tools will I need to get my bike ready? - As a minium (but not limited to), you will need a 15mm pedal spanner, or 6 or 8mm allen keys to fit the pedals depending on whether they are included or what you have specced. We would recommend a torque wrench that covers 10-60nm to fit the pedals. To fit the handlebars/adjust the stem you will need a 4 or 5mm allen key and we would recommend a torque wrench that covers a 2-14nm range.

I have damaged my cranks fitting the pedals, is that covered by the warranty? - No, sorry, but assembly errors are not covered by a general warranty. We verify every bike's crank threads before it leaves us. It is important to follow our instructions that pedals are handed (left and right threaded), and set them to the correct torque to prevent damaging the threads. Replacement parts required due to assembly error will be chargeable.

Can I get some help on the phone? - Of course! One of the reasons to buy from a real bike shop like us is that we are reachable at the end of a phone if you need support or advice.
